Comparative Perspectives on the Law of Energy Transition in Europe

Flaggen

A new book on the legal aspects of Europe’s energy transition has just been published by Nomos Verlag. Edited by Michael Rodi and Johannes Saurer, it offers an in-depth comparative study of energy transition law in EU member states and the UK.

The energy transition is one of the most pressing challenges of our time. It requires national legal systems to adapt rapidly and comprehensively. Without systematic comparative legal analysis, legislators risk missing opportunities to learn from each other and to develop effective solutions.

To address this need, Comparative Perspectives on the Law of Energy Transition in Europe provides a thorough comparative analysis of energy transition law with a focus on renewable energy. The book examines legal frameworks in Denmark, Germany, France, Italy, Poland, and Sweden within the EU context, as well as the United Kingdom as a former member state and pioneer in climate and energy law. Renowned researchers from Europe and beyond contributed to this volume, offering diverse perspectives and expertise on the subject.

The book is now available online in Open Access and as a printed edition from Nomos Verlag.
