Alexandra Steinkraus is a Research Associate in the Sustainability and Innovation team at IKEM. She is the project lead for the annual IKEM Academy: Energy and Climate. She is also involved with visibility and development efforts at IKEM, coordinates IKEM’s gender equality working group and supports just transition research.

She holds a master’s degree in international affairs, with a concentration in sustainability and security policy, from the Hertie School of Governance and a bachelor’s degree in global studies, with an emphasis in human rights and justice, from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. Before starting at IKEM, she worked at The Advocates for Human Rights in Minneapolis, Minnesota and as a consultant at the United Nations Association of Minnesota.

Alexandra has experience in international negotiations, UN frameworks and knowledge sharing networks.
