The annual report provides a comprehensive overview of IKEM’s work in 2025, documenting key research findings, events and publications from 63 projects at the interface of climate protection, energy and mobility.
The Institute’s interdisciplinary teams conducted research on topics including the system integration of renewable energies, flexibility options in the electricity system, transparent and participatory planning processes for the heating transition, the cross-company use of charging infrastructure, automated vehicles in local public transport, socio-cultural aspects of the energy transition and issues relating to international climate governance and a just transition.
