Biografie
Aleksandra Novikova, PhD, beschäftigt sich seit 1999 mit Fragen der nachhaltigen Energie- und Klimapolitik sowie Maßnahmen zur Treibhausgasminderung. Im Mittelpunkt ihrer Tätigkeit stehen Kreislaufwirtschaft, Energiesystemmodellierung, Evaluierung der nationalen und globalen Politikansätze im Bereich Energieeffizienz und Klimapolitik, Klimafinanzierung sowie Internationale Zusammenarbeit. Energieeffizienz und Klimapolitik, Klimafinanzierung sowie Internationale Zusammenarbeit. Dabei hat sie Forschungs-, Trainings- und Kapazitätsaufbauprojekte für Organisationen wie das Entwicklungsprogramm der Vereinten Nationen (UNDP), die Europäische Kommission, Regierungen in Europa, Amerika, und Asien, die Climate Policy Initiative, sowie für andere nationale und internationale Organisationen durchgeführt. Derzeit leitet sie Projekte im Bereich von Politikmaßnahmen und Finanzierungsmöglichkeiten zur Dekarbonisierung von Wohnraum und damit in Verbindung stehenden Dienstleistungen.
Aleksandra Novikova hat einen Bachelor-Abschluss im Bereich Mathematische Methoden in der Wirtschaftswissenschaft der Novosibirsker Staatlichen Universität (Russland) sowie einen Master- und einen PhD-Abschluss in Umweltwissenschaft und Umweltpolitik der Central European University (Ungarn). Sie war Forschungsstipendiatin am Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in Kalifornia. Aleksandra Novikova hat ca. 50 Publikationen veröffentlicht. Hervorzuheben ist ihre Tätigkeit als Leitautorin des Vierten Sachstandsberichts des mit dem Friedensnobelpreis ausgezeichneten International Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) sowie als leitende Analystin für das, von den Vereinten Nationen unterstützte, Global Energy Assessment (GEA). Sie arbeitet außerdem bereits seit 2011 im Plannungskomittee der International Energy Policy & Programme Evaluation Conference und wird dieser Konferenz im Jahr 2018 vorsitzen.
