Registration for IKEM Academy 2023 is now open! This year’s Academy, titled ‘Earth 2050: transformative strategies for a climate-positive planet’, investigates how bold action and out-of-the-box thinking can empower communities, foster inclusive decision-making, build resilience – and pave the way towards carbon neutrality by 2050.
The 5-day programme features interactive workshops, presentations, a site visit and panel discussions led by renowned energy and climate experts. Discussion topics will include:
- How can we navigate the process of system transformation while balancing diverse needs and interests?
- In an era of deepening global conflict, how can we build consensus for climate action?
- How can adaptive measures respond effectively to local needs – and is it possible to scale up these solutions?
- What role can new digital technologies and artistic initiatives play in promoting collaborative responses?
IKEM Academy 2023 location and dates
IKEM Academy 2023 will be held from 03–07 July 2023 at the Institute for Climate Protection, Energy and Mobility (IKEM), at Magazinstr. 15-16 in 10179 Berlin, Germany.
Application deadline
Submit your completed application form by 31 May 2023. Applicants are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. The number of spaces is limited, so apply early!
Who should apply?
IKEM Academy is open to 25–30 participants who study or work in climate- and energy-related fields or have a particular interest in the issues covered in this year’s programme.
Applicants are selected based on academic and/or professional qualifications and must have experience relevant to the topic.
