The IKEM Research Academy was founded in September 2020 and since then, has dedicated its work to fundamental research, scientific networking and the promotion of young talent in interdisciplinary climate protection research with a focus on law. In March 2021, the IKEM Research Academy held its first doctoral seminar. It explored legal issues of infrastructures in the energy transition. In the upcoming seminar, we would like to focus on hydrogen in the energy transition.
This is of course connected to a wide range of topics: from the production, to transportation as well as utilization of hydrogen. All these aspects raise jurisprudential questions, which in turn can be considered from two different perspectives – chronologically (de lege lata, de lege ferenda) as well as systemically (national, European and global).
With this edition of the seminar series, we would like connect PhD students who are dealing with these questions as part of their doctoral project. We would like to offer them an opportunity to present their own project among like-minded people and give them the chance to discuss it in a protected space. At the end of the seminar, an external scientist will give both an interdisciplinary and a jurisprudential lecture to draw interesting conclusions on the day.
The seminar will be held as an online event.
If you are interested in participating, we ask you to register here by February 16, 2022, and we would like to expressly encourage you to present your doctoral project as part of the seminar – because that’s what the doctoral student’s seminar thrives on. If you are interested, please send a short abstract (max. One page) to email@example.com by February 14, 2022.
