Mariia Abramovskaia is a research assistant at the IKEM Research Academy and part of the editorial team of the journal “Klima und Recht”. She also works as a research assistant in the “Energy Transition in the Baltic Sea Region” cluster at the Interdisciplinary Research Centre for the Baltic Sea Region (IFZO) at the University of Greifswald.

She studied law at the National Research University “Higher School of Economics” (Russia), as well as at the University of Bergen (Norway) and the University of Cologne with a focus on international law. Currently she studies law at the University of Greifswald.
