Roman Weidinger is a Senior Research Associate at the Institute for Climate Protection, Energy and Mobility.

He studied law at the University of Muenster, the Universidad de Salamanca in Spain and the Humboldt University of Berlin with a focus on legislation and legal policy. His research focuses on energy and environmental law, especially planning law, tax law and questions regarding the acceptance of public policies.

His ongoing dissertation is on the planning of demand for renewable-energy power plants under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Rodi at Greifswald University.
