Susan Wilms is a member of the IKEM management team since 2021.
Previously, she worked as a Senior Research Associate at IKEM since 2016 and has led the energy law team since October 2018. Her research focused on the legal aspects of sector-coupling, esp. Power-to-X.
She studied law at the universities of Hamburg and Bonn and specialized in public law and international and European law and graduated from the National University of Ireland, Galway with a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree. She completed her legal clerkship at the Kammergericht in Berlin with placements at the Federal Foreign Office and the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva. Prior to her work at the IKEM, Mrs. Wilms worked for a non-profit foundation in projects related to reducing bureaucracy. She has experience in development cooperation and has been involved in scientific studies on sustainability and human rights in the economy.
