The paper examines aspects of gender equality in the implementation process of charging infrastructure for e-cars, e-bikes and e-scooters based on the innovative solutions in the USER-CHI project. The paper combines findings from the project’s product development with a literature review on gender bias in infrastructure and mobility planning. It aims to provide knowledge about gender-specific and diverse user needs, which can then be incorporated into the design of charging infrastructure.
