Project

The many different local concepts for implementing the regional energy transition lead to innovation hurdles and uncertainties. In addition, the field of energy transition law (including the EEG and EnWG) is a very new one and therefore also extremely dynamic, as it is subject to political influence.
“Lokale Energie – Kraftwerk der Region” (Local Energy – Power Plant of the Region) is a platform through which IKEM works together with its partners on numerous energy transition projects that bring together local green power producers, marketers and consumers. Locale Energie was initiated by Tom Lange, Jan-Hinrich Glahr, Johannes Kauffmann and the IKEM managing director Simon Schäfer-Stradowsky.

Results

The goal of this project is to establish the regional and direct marketing of renewable electricity as a building block of the energy transition and to enable local value creation.

By working closely with green power producers, marketing companies and consumers, IKEM ensures that citizens and companies are directly involved in the expansion and success of renewable green power production. Together with its partners, IKEM regularly organizes events to present the results of these energy transition projects to a broad professional audience. In this way, IKEM brings together progress partners from the entire value chain and optimizes the legal framework within the energy industry so as to achieve a faster and more efficient energy transition.
